While my mom and I are pretty different, we do align on certain things. Our taste in beauty, for example, is the same, most likely because I learned my preference for affordable, fuss-free products from raiding her vanity as a kid. And although my style is definitely more “edgy,” as my mom would say, there are a handful of ageless, classic pieces we both repeat-wear. 

Whether for her glowing skin or chic ‘fits, my mom constantly receives compliments from strangers, so it’s safe to say her go-to beauty and fashion items are worth the investment. I would know, considering my collection continues to mirror hers more and more. In light of Memorial Day weekend, a.k.a. one of the biggest shopping events of the summer, I found a few of the everyday staples my mom and I love in Amazon’s massive sale. Besides getting a home-cooked meal, my favorite part of visits back to Pennsylvania is getting to pick through my mom’s hair care drawer. I have to admit, it took me a while to come around to my mom’s maxi dress obsession. That is, until I realized that the right one can be as comfy as sweats. The best part about this choice? It requires little to no styling. Simply throw on a pair of slip-on sandals (another one of my mom’s summer must-haves), and you’ll be ready to head out the door.
