Misheveve Chief Retires from Service in Colourful Event, Gifted New Motorcycle: "I Thank You"

Renowned chief Protus Wechuli, popularly known as Chief Mishevev,e has officially retired, and his community shared a send-off ceremony in his honour.

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi was among the leaders who joined the recent celebration of the senior chief as he left office.

The Internet-sensational administration officer has been serving as the senior chief for the Saboti location since November 27, 2007.

Amisi commended Misheveve for his dedication and the unique humour that he brought to leadership which earned him praise from many people.

To appreciate him for his years of service, Amisi gifted the retiring chief a brand new motorcycle and handed him a bull which was given by Deputy Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli.

"His dedication and unique sense of humor made him a beloved leader. As a token of appreciation, I gifted him a new motorcycle and also handed over a bull courtesy of Deputy Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli. I encourage all chiefs to emulate his leadership—dedicated, with a touch of humor. Wishing you the best in this next chapter, Chief!" Amisi said.

The politician also urged chiefs to follow what the internet sensation did and his approach to community issues, blending hard work with humour that created a lasting impact.

In a celebration that was witnessed by , the famous Trans Nzoia chief who broke the internet with his misheveve antics, finally bowed down the age limit that is required of a public servant.

"I can only thank you. You have been magnificent, lovable, and, more importantly, honest," said chief Wechuli

The former secondary school teacher will be remembered for his interview that gave him the nickname misheveve.

He will also be remembered for using heavy English vocabulary in his interviews.

The misheveve chief once revealed that he was a family man and noted that he has seven kids who were doing well academically.

Known for his stand on education, the leader shared that all his kids were university graduates who had master's degrees.

He also noted the impact his wife has had on him and revealed that they not only walk together but also love each other.

The internet sensation disclosed that his eldest child is 29 and has a background in mathematics and science.

The chief narrated that his appointment letter found him while teaching in a classroom and he got it during a lesson.

While sharing what he liked about being a chief, he said he loved how leadership was accommodative and charming.

He also advised teachers to help students rather than be destructive with their words as their impact last longer in their students' lives.
