Brian Joura Mets360: "The road Mets offense showed up, as they put up four runs in the first inning and tacked on three more in the ninth, to salvage the last game of the series with a 7-3 win over the Marlins Sunday afternoon. The victory upped the Mets’ record in series finales to 12-4. Unfortunately, they are 9-21 in other games."

NY Post: Mets use fast start to salvage finale against Marlins. "For a second straight game, Francisco Lindor was hit by a pitch leading off the game. The Mets proceeded to load the bases, on a walk to Brandon Nimmo and DJ Stewart’s single, before Tyrone Taylor smashed a two-run double. Brett Baty followed with a walk and Harrison Bader’s single brought in two additional runs."

NY Daily News: Brandon Nimmo, Mets bounce-back to salvage series vs. Marlins in 7-3 win. "Manaea tossed five innings allowing two runs on five hits while striking out four. The left-hander continues to impress this season as his ERA is down to 3.11 on the season."

John Harper SNY.TV: GAME MVP: REED GARRETT "Garrett was excellent on Sunday, racking up four strikeouts and 10 swings-and-misses, many on his signature splitter, while pitching the final two innings of the game. The two scoreless innings lowered Garrett’s ERA to 0.72 for the season. He has 41 strikeouts in 25 innings."

National Pastime.com: Mets center fielder Angel Pagan initiates the tenth triple play in franchise history when he snags Nationals' Cristian Guzman's sinking liner with first and second base occupied. Pagan became the first player in 55 years to take part in both feats in the same game. Pinch-hitter Adam Kennedy’s sacrifice fly broke a 2-all tie in the seventh."
