Meeting in Manitoba: Manitoba Motor Dealers Association and CarrXpert host collaborative conference, February 3, 2025

Winnipeg, Manitoba — On February 3, 2025, industry leaders, OEM representatives and key stakeholders gathered at MPI Plessis in Winnipeg for an exclusive Manitoba Motor Dealers Association and CarrXpert event.

According to a recent press release, the goal of this event was to foster collaboration, innovation and future-forward discussions in the automotive repair sector.

“With a strong focus on emerging technologies, certification programs and evolving industry standards, the event served as a pivotal platform for industry advancement,” said the release.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Jean Francois Gargya, Managing Director, CarrXpert, who set the tone for the day with opening discussions on industry updates.

Key topics included OEC updates on repair networks, industry trends and OEM developments.

This discussion was followed by an in-depth session on BMW certification, which highlighted advancements in complex materials and new repair technologies.

Additionally, Volkswagen and Audi representatives also provided crucial updates on body technology, repair considerations as well as the growing impact of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) on the industry.

In the afternoon, the media release continued, Nissan presented a virtual presentation that focused on total loss prevention, network expansion and collision link advancements.

Alongside this, Toyota presented updates on EV technology, certification programs and logistics for parts distribution.

A highlight of the event was the question and answer panel where all participating OEMs engaged with attendees, addressing key questions and fostering meaningful discussions on the industry’s future.

The event concluded with a networking dinner at the Inn at the Forks, where attendees had the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships within the industry.
