In a moving display of compassion and community service, legendary Ghanaian gospel musician Mary Ghansah joined forces with ICGC Senya Breku, Wombs of Worship (ICGC Calvary Temple), and Women in Gospel Music and Associates (WIGM) to honor and support over 200 widows and elderly women in the Senya Breku community.
The heartwarming outreach event, themed A Time of Love and Fellowship with Widows and the Elderly,” took place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the ICGC Senya Breku Assembly. It brought together women of faith, musicians, and volunteers to serve and uplift those who often go unnoticed in society.
Recognizing the deep emotional and economic struggles faced by many widows, the team provided hampers filled with food, toiletries, and other essential supplies, ensuring the women not only felt loved but also left with practical help. The gathering was filled with spirit-led worship, gospel music performances, prayer, and words of encouragement from Mary Ghansah and other ministers present.
Mary Ghansah, known for her decades-long impact in gospel music and philanthropy, reaffirmed her belief that true ministry must extend beyond the pulpit. “This is not just charity it’s ministry. We are here to tell our mothers and grandmothers that they are still seen, still loved, and still valuable in the eyes of God,” she stated.
Some widows, moved by the love shown, expressed deep appreciation to Mary Ghansah and the organizers. “We feel remembered, respected, and blessed. God bless you all,” one elderly beneficiary shared.
This event continues Mary Ghansah’s legacy of merging music, faith, and humanitarian service, and stands as a powerful reminder of the gospel’s call to care for the vulnerable. Through this initiative, the widows of Senya Breku not only received support but also left with their hearts full and their spirits lifted.
