Logistics firm begins CNG, electric vehicle conversion

Published 2 days ago2 minute read

Atlas Core Energy and Logistics has launched its Fleet Conversion and Clean Mobility Strategy aimed at accelerating the transition from fossil fuels to cleaner alternatives across the country’s logistics and urban transport corridors.

The initiative targets the transition of fleet operators from fossil fuels to compressed natural gas (CNG), and electric and hybrid technologies to modernise fleets and reduce carbon emissions in high-density areas.

Speaking at the launch, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Owoade Emmanuel, said the initiative positions Atlas Core as a rising force in Nigeria’s clean energy infrastructure.

The United Kingdom-trained energy strategist known for his research in sustainable infrastructure, explained that Nigeria’s logistics and energy sectors are intertwined, noting that the country must drive infrastructure that supports this shift to ensure sustainability.

He said as part of the rollout, the company will deploy CNG conversion hubs and service centres across major Nigerian corridors, and partner with fleet operators and logistics firms to ensure economic viability and performance efficiency.

Emmanuel said the initiative will also drive partnerships with government regulators and technology developers to enable policy-backed growth and scalable solutions.

He added that this launch is part of Atlas Core’s broader vision of not just participating in the conversation, but becoming a strategic player in Nigeria’s clean energy ecosystem and building the backbone of the transformation.
