Butere MP Tindi Mwale had previously rescued Omusula and took him to his upscale Nairobi residence. The legislator said that the internet star would work for him as a messenger.

However, earlier this year, it emerged that Omusula was back on the streets after being evicted by his landlord. Explaining his predicament, the young man said that his sponsor had not paid rent for September and October last year, leading to his eviction.

However, Omusula still appears keen on turning his life around.

A video doing the rounds on social media depicted Omusula seated next to a man in a restaurant.

Omusula was dressed in a black jacket and shirt and looked dishevelled.

The online sensation asked for forgiveness from Mwale, blaming joblessness for his woes.

He expressed his desire to go to a rehabilitation centre and promised to change.

Omusula reflected on the MP’s promise, saying:

"Please look into the things we spoke about, so that I can get a job. I am idle, and that is why I look confused. Thank you."

The video of Omusula looking weather-beaten touched the hearts of many social media users, with some urging the MP to offer him another opportunity.

ckipchirchir:

"But you, Omusula, how can we help you? I have one hundred bob."

muchui.teddy:

"Everyone deserves a second chance; we are not righteous."

sam.mistah:

"He apologised because he doesn't bathe."

maureendama_00:

"He should be given a chance, wooiye."

trap_gpt:

"No one is perfect, and everybody deserves a second chance."

queen_hanery:

"I understand it’s not easy to fight addiction; it’s the only disease without a cure. All you need is acceptance and willingness to change."

Ironically Omusula pointed towards having had enough of publicity.

He reacted strongly after people showed concern over his return to the streets. He was seen wandering the streets of Nairobi, appearing lost and downcast.

Clearly irritated by the attention, he asked people to stop sharing his story online and to respect his privacy as the new year began.

In other news, Omusula was involved in a motorbike accident in June 2023.

The update was shared by Mwale via social media. He posted a video showing Omusula receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital. According to the MP, Omusula fell off a motorbike while attempting to alight in Utawala, which led to his admission at the hospital.

Mwale urged well-wishers to keep Omusula in their thoughts, asking for support and prayers as he recovers from the injuries sustained during the incident.
