Lagos To Host 75th FIABCI World Real Estate Congress, First-Ever In Nigeria | Sahara Reporters

The Lagos State Government, in collaboration with FIABCI (the International Real Estate Federation), will host the 75th World Real Estate Congress at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites from June 10 to 11, 2025.

The high-profile event, themed "Global Real Estate Renaissance," will draw participants from over 70 African countries and beyond. It is expected to bring together a wide array of real estate industry stakeholders, including investors, developers, policymakers, and thought leaders.

This is contained in a press statement issued by the federation on Sunday.

According to the federation, President Bola Tinubu will serve as the Grand Host of the event, marking the first time the congress will be held in Nigeria.

Keynote speakers at the two-day event include former Nigerian Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, and Mr. Kevin Brown, President-elect of the National Association of Realtors.

Also scheduled to speak is Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Minister of Housing and Urban Development.

The congress is designed to promote meaningful dialogue and forge strategic partnerships under the theme of a “Global Estate Renaissance,” with a focus on innovation, sustainability, housing finance, and urban development across continents.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, will serve as the Chief Host, supported by Hon. Moruf Akinderu Fatai, Commissioner for Housing, as Co-Host, and Mrs. Barakat Bakare Odunuga, Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, as Hostess.

Adding cultural significance to the event, His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Arole Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, will grace the occasion as the Royal Guest of Honour.

The congress represents a landmark initiative to advance innovation, foster global collaboration, and promote sustainable development in the real estate sector.
