Baby Koyane Ngoto was allegedly killed under unclear circumstances in Diani, Kwale county, leaving his family in grief and unanswered questions.

The 29-year-old's lifeless body was reportedly found next to the shore after he was allegedly murdered.

As the musician's family struggled to come to terms with the death of their kin, they called for justice following their great loss.

Popularly known as Black Star, Koyane was reportedly dragged from the hotel room where he was staying.

He was allegedly strangled to death before his body was abandoned near the shore by the unknown assailants.

"He was running away from the war in Congo only to die in Kenya. All we are praying and asking for is justice. Since his death, we carried out the postmortem and established he was indeed strangled. Still, until now we have not received or gotten any information from the government of Kenya," Jodi Bundiko, the deceased's brother, shared.

The chairman of the Congolese community in Mombasa, pastor Bienzeli, alleged that Black Star was killed in the hotel where he was staying.

Among the items Black Star had included a key, his mobile handset, a bag and money, with the last two taken by his kin.

Annette Forceland, the deceased's friend, expressed her frustration with the lack of development news since the death of her friend three weeks ago.

She claimed they had not received any updates concerning the ongoing investigation or actions taken since Black Star's death.

"We have not even heard from the hotel. Nothing has been happening since his death," she agonisingly said.

The family of the deceased have called upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to speed up the investigations and bring the suspect to book.

They also wanted the hotel to release the CCTV footage to find out the people who were with their kin before he died.

"Until now, no one has been caught. There is none whatsoever. The CCTV footage is there, but nothing has taken place. We want investigations to take place and justice granted to us," Bienzeli said as the deceased was buried in Mombasa.

In another story, a Kenyan-Congolese man died in Australia while having fun in the company of his friends.

Jonas Safari, a vibrant 21-year-old, was swimming with his friends at Pines Island when he tragically drowned.

The young man jumped into the Murrumbidgee River in what seemed like a routine escapade, fun with his friends.

His friends got worried after Safari failed to resurface for over five minutes, prompting them to jump into the water and rescue their friend. However, it was too late to keep him alive.
