Kenya Power said the county further clamped and towed 10 company vehicles as well as personal vehicles belonging to staff and customers.

The dispute arises from a lengthy financial conflict between Kenya Power and the Nairobi City County Government.

According to the statement by Kenya Power, Sakaja's administration owes the utility company an outstanding debt of KSh 3 billion, with KSh 1.3 billion of this amount accruing in the last two years.
