While in a podcast interview with her sister Khloe, Kourtney expressed her growing disillusionment with conventional education, describing it as unnecessary in today’s fast-evolving world.
"Why do kids even go to school? Truly, it is so dated. So then I will start thinking, and I am like, you know, my kids would send me videos about why do kids go to school? It will be like really successful people, and they'll be like, 'my kids never go to school, and they are never going to. And then I am like, what is the goal here? You wanna do homeschool? Let's do it," she said.

According to Brighterly, parents of more than 3.7 million children in the United States are homeschooled as of 2025, either partially or fully.
Here are some of the reactions to Kourtney's sentiments:
@sandratwins said:
“Homeschooling is a brilliant idea these days, especially with all the safety concerns in schools around the world. I would much rather have my children learn in a safe and comfortable environment where they can thrive without fear.”
@mike_the_mind said:
“I understand why Kourtney feels this way, but I worry homeschooling might make kids miss out on important social skills. School is not just about lessons; it is where children learn to interact and build friendships.”
@lilian_voices added:
“Homeschooling could give children a personalised learning experience that schools simply cannot provide. It allows parents to tailor education to each child’s strengths and interests, which can lead to greater success.”
@charlesdebate commented:
“The world is changing rapidly, and traditional schooling might not suit every child anymore. If Kourtney’s kids feel homeschooling is right for them, then that should be supported without judgment.”
@emilly_sparks said:
“I love the idea of homeschooling, but it takes a lot of commitment from parents. It is not easy, and it is important to ensure children still have opportunities to socialise and develop emotionally.”

In a related report, Kenyan TikToker living in America, Mama Jimmy and her husband and Baba Jimmy, revealed that they decided to homeschool their kids.
According to Baba Jimmy, he passed his exams despite never attending traditional classes, as his parents chose to homeschool him.
The father of two also opined that taking kids to school hindered parents from having a close relationship with their children.
His sentiments, however, divided Kenyans as some encouraged the couple to give their two kids an American classroom experience.
