The Ghana League Clubs Association has announced Sunday, July 6, 2025, as the date for this year’s President’s Cup.

The match, featuring Ghana’s two biggest rivals - Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak -  will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“The Honourable Minister and the government are very committed to restoring Ghanaian football to its old glory, and the event [President’s Cup] is meant to kickstart this commitment,” said William Katey, a Director at the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

“This event will serve as the stepping stone in this direction.”

Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas defeated Kotoko to win the 2024 edition.

The Porcupines, who have won the trophy eight times, will hope to reclaim it against six-time champions Hearts of Oak.
