Jepither Muthii, the victim, recounted his horrifying ordeal from his hospital bed, tears streaming down his face.
He revealed that the attack occurred on Friday, February 7, when he went to demand a balance of KSh 50 from his employer, identified as Isaac Gachoka.
According to Muthii, Gachoka dragged him forcefully into a room before assaulting him and severing his genitalia.
“He pulled me inside forcefully and started injuring my lower body until everything was cut off,” Muthii painfully narrated.
A nurse at the hospital described the severity of the injuries Muthii sustained, explaining that his scrotal sac had been severely cut, exposing the testicles. However, she confirmed that the medical team had successfully rectified the damage.
“He arrived at the facility with serious wounds. After surgery, we managed to reconstruct the scrotal sac in time, and his genitalia are now safe,” she stated.
Despite surviving the gruesome attack, Muthii now faces another challenge—settling his hospital bill.
He has pleaded with his attacker to take responsibility for the medical expenses, saying he lacks the financial means to do so.
“I am pleading with the man who did this to me to come forward and pay my bill because I cannot afford it. Again, I would request him to look into how I will get food here. About the rest, I leave them to God,” he said.
Meanwhile, the main suspect, Gachoka, is currently on the run. Authorities have launched a manhunt to bring him to justice.
The incident has sparked outrage among residents of Kutus Market, who have demanded swift action against the suspect and justice for Muthii.
In other news, three Kenya Forest officers from Narasha Forest Station have been charged with assaulting a boda boda operator, Augustine Kipng’etich, while he was on an errand to collect fencing posts for a client.
His parents tearfully recounted the events leading up to the attack and their desperate attempts to reach their son before he succumbed to injuries.
The area MP has condemned the incident, urging officers to exercise restraint and avoid confrontations with the public.
