James Munene, the father of Risper Ng'endo, disclosed that his daughter was found murdered four days after she left home to visit her boyfriend in Nairobi.

The devasted family revealed that the suspect called them and informed them about Ng'endo's death before disappearing.

Ng’endo’s sister, Caroline Wandia, recounted that on Saturday, February 1, 2025, Risper left the Kerugoya matatu stage around 4pm after receiving a call from her boyfriend.

"I kept in touch with her until she arrived at his place around 8pm. That was the last time we spoke—after that, her phone went off," Wandia said as reported by Citizen Digital.

The family is grappling with why Risper was allegedly killed by someone she had been in a long-term relationship with for over six years, and whom they expected would marry their daughter.

"He had visited our home in Kirima several times, and my sister had even visited his family in Kericho. We were waiting for their marriage. She had a shop here at home. Why did he do this to her?" Wandia lamented.

The suspect falsely told the family that he was a senior officer in the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi, only for them to later learn he was a shamba boy in Kajiado.

"All along, we believed he was a DCI officer. On Monday that week, he told us he had travelled to America, yet my sister didn’t even have a passport. Then, suddenly, he admitted to killing her and vanished. We want justice," the deceased's sister added.

Separately, residents of Kiambaa, Kiambu county, were recently dejected following the discovery of the body of a 28-year-old woman.

The residents woke up to the grim news on January 4 when they learnt of Jackline Nyambura Mungai's death.

Nyambura’s body was discovered in the Kamutaro area along the Ruaka-Banana Road, a few meters from her apartment.

It was half-dressed with no visible injuries. Police processed the incident scene before moving the body to the Kihara Level IV Hospital mortuary ahead of the postmortem.

Reports indicated that the deceased lived with a 44-year-old man, identified as Nashon Kuria Wanjiru, for about four years at her rental apartment in Kamutaro.
