Kim Raver Calls This '24' Scene with Kiefer Sutherland 'Very Complicated' (Exclusive)

Over a decade since the show’s finale, 24 alum, Kim Raver, took the time to reveal which scene she remembers most vividly.

In 2005, the 56-year-old actress joined the cast of the action-drama series and is known for her role as Audrey Raines, the daughter of President James Heller.

Despite being on the show for a total of three seasons, one scene that left a lasting impression on Raver involved her character being interrogated by Jack Bauer, played by actor Kiefer Sutherland, 58.

“I think a highlight storyline was that interrogation scene between Audrey and Jack, because I love when things are super complicated,” Raver tells PEOPLE exclusively.

In the intense season 5 episode, Bauer detains and interrogates Raines after suspecting her of being a mole and leaking information to terrorists.

“Yet we were also madly in love with each other, and he literally takes me out of the chair and kind of like, has me up against the wall questioning me,” Raver recalls. “Talk about trust and incredible writing. It was just a spectacular moment.”

When describing the scene between Audrey and Jack, Raver calls it "very complicated," yet amazing. “For the first time, our characters weren't on the same page, and he was questioning Audrey's love for him and for the country,” she explains. “And she wasn't a mole and she wasn't a traitor.”

As for keeping in touch with her 24 cast members, Raver admits that she and Sutherland still see each other from time to time. “Every once in a while during holidays, we'll connect or I'll go hear his music because he's also an incredible musician,” she says.

Apart from 24, Raver is also known for her portrayal of Kim Zambrano on the police-paramedic drama, Third Watch, and for her iconic role as Iraq veteran, Teddy Altman, on Grey’s Anatomy.

Since returning to Grey’s Anatomy in 2017 after a five-year hiatus, Raver has had the opportunity to direct a few episodes of the show. Last year, she opened up to PEOPLE about what it's like to be a female director on set.

Other TV credits include roles in shows like The Nine and Trinity, Central Park West, The Practice, Law & Order and more.

Off-screen, the New York native is a mother to two boys whom she shares with husband, Manu Boyer. The pair have been married for 25 years.
