Farida Kadzo, who had just been readmitted to school, just two years after being rescued from another assault incident, died a few days ago, in a brutal femicide attack.
Details shared by TV47 indicated that on the fateful day, her boyfriend visited her at her parents' home, and the two sat outside chatting.
As the day progressed, Farida's brother noticed conversation was becoming tense as the boyfriend expressed his displeasure at the girl's refusal to accompany him to an upcoming family event.
Moments later, her family spotted the duo arguing with the boyfriend, shouting as tensions rose.
However, the argument escalated when the boyfriend started chasing Farida, but her family thought it was a classic case of teenagers being silly with one another.
Unbeknownst to them, he had a knife in his hands.
Unfortunately, the man caught up with her and stabbed her to death.
Her family was horrified by the sudden change of events as the alleged killer fled the scene.
The International Justice Mission Kenya has strongly condemned the girl's death, saying she had just undergone a myriad of court proceedings after undergoing another violent incident at the hands of the same man a couple of years ago.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to Farida's family and community. Her death is a persistent and deadly threat of Violence against Women and Children, particularly in vulnerable communities," the IJM said.

The organisation also condemned reports that the murder was a 'love triangle', saying the violence meted out on Farida was, like many other Gender-Based Violence cases, about power and control.
"Kadzo’s life mattered. Her story must not end in silence. Let this tragedy be a turning point in the fight against femicide and all forms of violence against women and children," the organisation said.
This comes as another family in Kiambu County was recently left distressed after the mysterious disappearance of their 14-year-old daughter.
Young Mary Maureen disappeared on the early morning of May 21, when she woke up at 5am, to prepare for school.
Her father said that by the time her mum was waking up, thirty minutes later, the young girl had already disappeared.
Adding more to the mystery was the discovery of her uniform just near home.
"I have reported the matter to the police, and we hope that she will return," he said.
