Kenyan Man Buys Prado, Offers to Pay Artiste to Create Song for SUV
A Kenyan man on X is drawing both heat and praise for flaunting his latest purchase in the faces of fellow Kenyans.

@otialeh_me1 recently bought a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado TX, estimated to cost around KSh 6.8 million according to local listings, and immediately launched into a bragging spree. The X user, who describes himself as a forex trader, proudly claimed:
"Of course, I’m a forex influencer. I give legit signals every day to help people make money in the market."
He first shared a video behind the wheel of the SUV in May. On Tuesday, May 27, he boldly announced:
“Wake up, I’ve bought a TX! Stop sleeping like livestock. I’ve bought a TX!”
He even urged men on his timeline to tag their girlfriends, saying he looked particularly handsome in his new car.
What followed were several over-the-top posts, such as asking his followers if he should adjust the tire pressure.
Like any excited first-time car owner, @otialeh_me1 was concerned about security. He posted a night photo standing beside the Prado holding a club.
“I’m guarding my car because someone might steal the spare wheel. Our watchman loves sleeping.”
His posts triggered backlash from some X users, and he noticed.
“I haven’t even had my new car for two days, and haters are already loud. Anyway, I’m thinking of starting a YouTube channel for Otialeh’s Land Cruiser. Drop your suggestions for the name.”
In another post, he wrote:
“Good morning, guys, I’m thinking of making a song about my TX. Which artiste should I feature?”
The netizen noted that he bought the vehicle to motivate others to work with him in forex trading.
“When I buy a Range Rover, I will be on Citizen TV,” he noted.
