The 21-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, 37, was recently running alongside a Detroit riverway following his show at Ford Field when a three-year-old boy named began running alongside the Not Like Us rapper.

The little boy had no idea he was running with the Super Bowl LIX halftime show headliner. His mom had taken her energetic toddler down to the riverfront to burn off some energy. That’s when Ryan started running next to a total stranger—whom he would later find out was Kendrick Lamar.

Fans shared the mom’s sentiments and were quick to comment on the video of the little boy’s legendary run, which was shared on social media.

One fan wrote, “I love this, that is so amazing,” while another shared, “AWE! The chills I got from watching this. What a fun moment that will be a forever memory. Shout out to @kendricklamar.”

Ryan ran with Lamar for ten minutes before his mom finally corralled him back. Once they got in the car, she realized her son had just been running with the rapper. She called the impromptu run “legendary.”
