Caitlin Clark was back at Carver-Hawkeye Arena for her official jersey retirement during the WNBA offseason.
Following a successful rookie season with the Indiana Fever, Clark went back to the place where she made a national name for herself.
The Hawkeyes retired her No. 22 jersey after upsetting the No. 4 USC Trojans 76-69. During Clark's jersey retirement, her former teammate, Kate Martin, posted a photo from Carver-Hawkeye Arena while sending a message to the Fever star.
"Into the rafters forever," Martin said. "Proud of you CC."
Martin was in attendance alongside another former Hawkeye star, Gabbie Marshall.
Clark and Martin played alongside each other at Iowa from 2020 to 2024, helping lead the Hawkeyes to back-to-back Final Four appearances.
During her four-year college career, Clark averaged 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 8.2 assists. In her senior season, she became the NCAA's all-time leading scorer in both men's and women's basketball, with 3,951 points.
After a phenomenal college basketball career, Clark took over the WNBA landscape, being named Rookie of the Year and a WNBA All-Star.
She led the Fever to a 20-20 record, ranked as the No. 6 team in the WNBA standings.
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and a league-best 8.4 assists per game during her rookie season with the Fever.
