, invited the top performers of the 2024 KCSE exams.

14 form four leavers scored A of 84 points, and they were pampered with love at the Thanksgiving ceremony.

Wamalwa had promised to pay for flight tickets for the performers who scored plain As of 84 points to Mombasa, and he fulfilled the promise.

He revealed that when the results came out, he received a text asking whether he would keep his promise.

The CEO confirmed that 14 students from the national school had scored plain As.

"Today is a great day. When I first came here, I did not know that they were struggling to get the As they were aspiring. When the results came out, I was keen, and I was in another function and I saw an SMS come in that you have kept our prize. Then, later, I was told they were 14. I had given myself 20 A of 84 points. You are used to As. Today, my director I hope you come here. When we promised as Lake Victoria Water Works Development Agency, we are very structured in the manner that we want an eco-system that will support at this particular level so that we get the premier courses, he said.

Wamalwa revealed that the plane tickets had been purchased, and they would travel to Mombasa on Tuesday, January 21.

"We, as an agency, have kept our promise, and as I speak, let my director confirm that the air tickets that we promised are ready for those who got As and will be partnering with us," he added.

The director of the agency confirmed that the student's tickets were ready.

"All those who have an A of 84 tickets should come forward and receive their tickets together with the form principal, the most improved teacher and the best teacher. They will travel to Mombasa by flight," the director said

In an exclusive with TUKO.co.ke, a teacher, Mr Koskei, said the school was proud of the 2024 candidates.

"The school is proud of our students. The school organised a token for the students, and we hope to do even better next year," he said,

A week ago, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Amigos Ogamba released the much-anticipated results in a ceremony at Mitihani House, attended by education stakeholders.

Ogamba announced that at least 1,693 students scored straight As in the 2024 KCSE, while 246,391 scored a C+ required for direct entry into the university.

One student with a reason to smile is Mark Kibet from Kapsabet Boys, who scored a clean A of 84 points in the national exams.
