Iyabo Ojo's 'Labake Olododo' Premiere: Actress Makes Entrance, Phones Go Missing

Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has been the center of attention following the premiere of her latest movie, "Labake Olododo: The Warrior Lord," which took place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX, Lekki. The premiere was a star-studded event with notable actors such as Mercy Aigbe and Funke Akindele in attendance.
Ojo made a grand entrance, appearing in full costume from her role in the movie. She wore intricately beaded dreadlocks and animal skin, embodying her warrior character. She rode in on a horse, led by a priestess holding a white dove and singing an indigenous song. Other characters from the movie also joined her, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.
However, the premiere was also marked by an unfortunate incident: Mercy Aigbe's phones went missing during the event. Ojo announced a financial reward for anyone who finds and returns the phones. She appealed on stage, promising to personally give money to whoever finds them. Aigbe was also seen expressing frustration at her assistant, who reportedly had the phones before they went missing.
Despite the missing phones, the premiere was a success, with many praising Ojo's creativity and attention to detail. The venue was designed to match the movie's traditional setting, and guests were served local meals. Some online commentators lauded Nollywood's recent impressive steps, while others criticized the movie's potential impact.
