Fans always loved seeing iconic actors in the Jurassic Park movies. Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant, a paleontologist), Laura Dern (Dr. Ellie Sattler, a paleobotanist), and Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm, a mathematician and chaos theorist) are the signature faces they held in a sentimental light.
Thankfully, they returned to the Jurassic World movies, too. This continuation of the franchise has shaped a path for a modern generation of fans. It focused on Chris Pratt's Owen Grady, a Navy veteran and velociraptor wrangler, and Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing, a former park manager. Owen is homaged in Netflix's Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3, but this tribute ends on a dark, haunting note.

Jurassic World's Most Chilling Villain Isn't Soyona Santos, but the Franchise's Most Ruthless Killer
Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory Season 3 confirms Soyona Santos may be vile, but she isn't the franchise's most terrifying villain.
. He used this hypnosis-like tactic to help with the chaos in the park in the first movie. As time passed, he'd deploy the strategy to get Blue to obey him like a sibling. In Jurassic World Dominion, he used the technique as well when Blue went into the wild.
It played on their bond and helped him bring Beta (Blue's child) home from Biosyn. . Marvel fans would correlate it to Black Widow calming the Hulk down in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has become an iconic part of Owen's character.

Chaos Theory Season 3 has the Handler (aka the Whistle Woman) using the technique. When Soyona Santos uses her technology and sniper light to send atrociraptors after the Handler, Soyona sees the Whistle Woman as a threat who doesn't want her selling these particular raptors. . With that 'spell' gone, the raptors attack the other dinosaur that Soyona has: the Carnotaurus.
The Carnotaurus is a larger apex predator. As a result, this apex kills one raptor and preps to murder the others. The Handler tries the move again. She locks eyes with the creature, nodding once more to Owen and Blue. But the hand motion doesn't work in a repetitive manner. The Carnotaurus snaps out of it and eats the Handler in one of Jurassic World's scariest scenes. Granted, fans don't see the actual devouring, but it's shocking, leaving Soyona flexing her power.

When Does Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3 Take Place?
The latest season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory intersects with the movies in a major way, potentially setting up more crossovers in the future.
It's safe to say the Chaos Theory Season 3 finale is bittersweet. . That's why she didn't want them dealt away, but they are the antithesis to Owen and his team. Owen's pack was used to corral other dinosaurs. They were effective against the T-Rex, and other giants who broke free, which made them a force for good.
But the Handler's raptors listened and were used for acts of malice. Though she used them to wrangle other dinosaurs like the Pyrorapter. But she also had them murder targets such as Kenji's father, Daniel. The Handler was all about control, but more embedded in protecting Soyona's empire. The Handler didn't mind the black market, as it allowed Soyona to sell pets to elites. .
In that sense, both are the opposite to each other. They care for dinosaurs, but their methods are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Owen is non-lethal and all about liberty, or measured, healthy caging. But the Handler likes killing and doesn't mind dinosaurs being pets for vain power players. Ultimately, it's a shame Netflix never got both characters to interact, as Owen and Blue wouldn't have liked this inverted mirror reflection tribe the Handler ran.
