Juaboso (WN/R), July 3, GNA — The Physical Planning Department of the Juaboso District Assembly has met landowners in the district on regularising the use of lands to ensure proper planning of buildings, especially on new sites.
The meeting brought together individual landowners, stools and families, developers, corporations, and institutions within the district.
Mr Daniel Darko Gyapong, Technical Officer of the Juaboso Physical Planning Department, explained the national planning policy and how land could be used, and assessing the site for potential hazards like flooding, landslides, and proximity to electricity.
He emphasized that the acquisition of building permits from the Assembly’s planning authorities before commencing any construction was vital to ensure compliance with national policies, local development plan and safety hazards.
“Well designed and planned buildings can be achieved by taking a proactive and collaborative approach at all stages of the planning processes of building,” he said.
Mr Alexander Adu Quist, the District Chief Executive for Juaboso, urged landowners to consult with architects, engineers, and other relevant professionals to help ensure proper planning and construction in the district .
The DCE said the workshop would promote responsible and sustainable development by ensuring that buildings were safe, functional, and contributed to a well- planned communities within Juaboso.
