Joy Mdivo, who happens to be bishop JB Masinde's daughter, has broken her silence after allegations that she has hired goons to infiltrate the Wednesday, June 25, protests.

While her name wasn't directly mentioned, one of her messages was captured in the KTN's exposé that shared leaked WhatsApp chats of people planning to disrupt the peaceful protests.
The Kenya Power board chair went viral on social media with Kenyans calling her out after the exposé.
Mdivo took to her social media pages to address the claims, stating that she does not belong to the WhatsApp group that was planning to cause chaos during the protests.
She further threatened to take legal action against the media outlet that reportedly linked her to plans of making demonstrations chaotic.
" I belong to no such WhatsApp group, nor have I made any such utterances in public or in private. For @StandardKenya to insinuate that I am planning to kill Kenyans is as untrue as it is defamatory. My lawyers have their instructions," Mdivo said.
Alongside Mdivo, five Members of Parliament, including two from Kisii, two from Mt. Kenya, one from Rift Valley and a governor were also named.
Kenyans responded to Mdivo's claim with some calling her out while others advised her to take legal action.
