JNIMS to reopen from June 16

Imphal, June 14 2025: Healthcare services including emergency operations will resume at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Imphal from June 16, the hospital has said in a statement.

The services were shut temporarily due to severe flooding which affected the entire hospital campus from June 2.Healthcare services including emergency operations and academic activities including regular classes for Undergraduate (MBBS and BDS) students and Postgraduate trainees will resume from June 16, said the hospital.

Further, efforts are underway to ensure full restoration of services, and routine surgeries (routine OT) are expected to resume as soon as possible, informed the hospital.

"The administration of JNIMS expressed its deep appreciation to all staff, students, and stakeholders who have contributed to the restoration efforts during this challenging period.

The institute remains committed to providing quality healthcare and medical education to the people of Manipur," said the hospital.
