Yoane Wissa was a January target for Arsenal, and the former Lorient striker opened the scoring in the 17th minute, following a neat flick from Mikkel Damsgaard.
The Danish attacking midfielder was on hand to set-up the Bees’ second of the game, feeding in Newcastle transfer target Bryan Mbeumo, who then curled in a beautiful strike past Mads Hermansen in the 27th minute.
Christian Norgaard scored Brentford‘s third of the first half, heading home from an Mbeumo cross, causing some Leicester fans to head towards the exit’s with their side looking hopeless.
The second half was a quieter affair, with the Foxes lacking the skill to manufacture a comeback, and the Bees looking content to retain possession in favour of running up the score.
Fabio Carvalho was dumped in the Brentford reserves by Thomas Frank earlier in the week, but the former Liverpool forward responded well, by coming off the bench and scoring his side’s fourth goal of the night in the 89th minute.
Flekken posted a photo of himself in action on Instagram after the match, captioned: “Solid win on the road! We keep going.” Former Bees striker Toney liked the message.
The Dutch goalkeeper has been in good form for the Bees this season, keeping four clean sheets in 25 games for the West London side.
Against Leicester, Flekken made three saves, but was largely untroubled by a tepid side that has now lost 10 of their last 11 Premier League games.
The win sees Frank’s side move up on place in the table, going ahead of Brighton into 10th place.
Brentford will play Everton in their next match on Wednesday 26 February.
Alan Pardew said he was “surprised” that Toney did not join Arsenal, despite dialogue between the England international’s agent and the North London club.
The former Newcastle striker instead joined Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, but Premier League clubs may look to sign Toney in the summer.

Alexander Isak has been linked with a move away from the Magpies, whilst the Gunner’s injury woes have left them without a recognised number nine in their squad.
Both teams have previously been linked with the talented striker, and it would be now surprise to see Toney return to England if the offer is right.
