"It's A Place Where Memories Are Made": Sonam Kapoor Returned To Kyoto For Dior's Pre-Fall 2025 Show
Kyoto is a special place for Sonam Kapoor. The actor and her husband Anand Ahuja chose the Japanese city for their honeymoon back in 2018, before returning a year later to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. “I absolutely love coming to Kyoto,” Kapoor tells Vogue, following the Dior pre-fall 2025 show. “This marks my third visit, and each time feels more special than the last.”
It comes as no surprise, then, that the Dior Capture ambassador opted for an outfit that celebrated Japanese heritage for the show, wearing a black kimono-inspired jacket by the French fashion house, along with a floor-length white gown adorned with cherry blossom motifs. “I was particularly drawn to the rich textures and design that paid homage to traditional Japanese silhouettes while maintaining a modern edge,” she explains.
The beauty ambassador kept up her regular skincare routine while travelling for the show. “I like to keep my skincare routine as simple and effective as possible,” Kapoor – whose favourite products naturally include the Dior Capture Le Serum – says. “I prioritise products that are moisturising and dependable, ensuring they cater to my skin’s needs without overwhelming it.”
While Kapoor’s trip to Kyoto may have been short and sweet this time around, she’s already planning a return visit with her son in the autumn. “Sharing this city with him will be a cherished experience,” she shares. “It’s a place where memories are made, and I look forward to creating many more with my family.”
