The A18 Mountain Road closed at 11:00 BST, with the lower part of the course due to shut an hour later at 12:00.

Clerk of the course Gary Thompson confirmed racing would go ahead "as conditions continued to improve".
However, as a result of the earlier delay to the start of racing, the second Sidecar race has been reduced from three laps to two.
Roads around the course, with the exception of the mountain, will be re-opened by 17:00.
