Iran warns of immediate Israel against hitting vital infrastructure
TEHRAN: Iran has issued a clear warning to the international community, stating that any Israeli attack on its economic or energy infrastructure will prompt an immediate response.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called international appeals for Iranian restraint in the face of Israeli aggression “unjust,” emphasizing that Tehran will not remain passive if critical infrastructure is targeted.
Meanwhile, Iran’s envoy to the United Nations described the Israeli strikes as acts of “state terrorism.” He further accused the United States of aiding the attacks by supplying intelligence to Israel, stating that Washington bears full responsibility for supporting and permitting such acts.
Earlier, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a strong warning following the Israeli airstrikes, declaring that Israel will face severe punishment for its actions.
In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Khamenei said: “This morning, the Zionist regime committed a grave crime on our soil with its blood-stained and evil hands. By targeting residential areas, the enemy has further exposed its vicious nature.”
He confirmed that several top commanders and scientists were martyred in the strikes, and that Israel had hit three Iranian military sites.
Khamenei vowed a firm response, saying: “Israel must prepare to face consequences. The Iranian armed forces will not let this aggression go unanswered.”
