The suspect, identified as Baba Kudu Mohammed, appeared before Justice A.Y. Shafa at the FCT high court in Nyanya on Thursday.
He is facing a four-count charge of forgery.
The ICPC accused him of falsifying a BSc degree in Economics from the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) and a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.
The prosecutors said the accused submitted both documents to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).
One of the charges stated that Mohammed was in possession of a forged NYSC exemption letter bearing his name and an identification number, an offence under Section 368 of the Penal Code Act.
Mohammed pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The prosecution counsel Hamza Sani informed the court that two witnesses were ready to testify, while the defense, led by M.E. Abubakar, applied for bail.
The application for bail was not opposed.
The court granted bail under specified conditions and adjourned the case to March 3, 2025, for trial.
