Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber, has shared his personal struggles with mental health, saying he feels overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly heal and grow.

The 31-year-old singer made the revelation on Monday via his Instagram page, where he posted a message about his state of mind.

In the lengthy note, Bieber admitted to being mentally and emotionally drained, saying the demands of self-improvement and expectations from others have taken a toll on him.

“People keep telling me to heal, don’t you think if I could have fixed myself, I would have already? I know I’m broken and I know I have anger issues,” he wrote.

He added, “I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them. It just keeps making me more tired and more angry. The harder I try to grow, the more focused on myself I am.”

Bieber, who rose to fame as a teenager, has spoken in the past about his battles with anxiety and depression.

In his latest post, he emphasised the need for a deeper purpose outside of himself.

“Jesus is the only person who keeps me wanting to make my life about others. Because honestly, I’m exhausted with thinking about myself lately. Aren’t you?” he wrote.
