WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Committee on Small Business Chairman Roger Williams (R-TX) capped off a busy and productive May with a series of events and initiatives celebrating and supporting America’s small businesses, particularly during National Small Business Week.

American Manufacturing on the Rise – On Thursday, May 1, House Committee on Small Business Chairman Roger Williams (R-TX), Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Chair Joni Ernst (R-IA), and Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler announced key bipartisan legislation aimed at revitalizing American manufacturing. Under President Trump, manufacturing loans have surged by 74%. The Made in America Manufacturing Finance Act (MAMFA) builds on that growth by raising the loan limits for 7(a) and 504 manufacturing loans from $5 million to $10 million. This increase would provide small manufacturers with greater access to capital, enabling them to purchase equipment, expand operations, hire additional workers, and scale their businesses.

Small Business Week with House Republicans – On Tuesday, May 6, Chairman Williams joined the House Republican Leadership Stakeout to spotlight the Committee’s continued efforts to support small businesses nationwide. His remarks focused on expanding access to capital, reducing regulatory burdens, and celebrating the grit and resilience of American entrepreneurs during National Small Business Week.

Discussing House Republicans’ Commitment to Small Business – On Wednesday, May 7, Chairman Williams participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN), featuring key members of the House Committee on Small Business and a broad coalition of small business stakeholders. The conversation highlighted House Republicans’ ongoing commitment to championing America’s job creators.

Showcasing Small Businesses from Across the Country – On Tuesday, May 20, the Committee hosted its second annual Small Business Showcase, where more than 25 small business owners from across the country shared their stories and showcased their impact on their communities and the economy. Chairman Williams delivered remarks alongside SBA Administrator Loeffler, House Republican Conference Chair Lisa McClain (R-MI), and Members of the Committee, emphasizing their support for small business innovation and growth.

SBA Made in America Roadshow Stop in North Texas – On Wednesday, May 28, Chairman Williams welcomed SBA Administrator Loeffler to North Texas for a tour of small businesses in his district. The pair visited DSG Technology and Ida Mae Home, two prominent local manufacturers, and participated in a roundtable with business owners, stakeholders, and local officials. The conversation centered on how the SBA and the Committee can continue collaborating to strengthen domestic manufacturing and fuel economic growth.
