High Road, Low Road review: A celebrity travel show that doesn't teach us much about the places they visit

This week’s duo Roddy Collins and Paul Howard made for amiable company but the RTÉ show is invariably hobbled by its flawed format

Not being a particular fan of celebrity travel shows, which tend to be more about the celebrities than the travel, High Road, Low Road (RTÉ1, Tuesday, January 28, 7pm) is not the kind of thing I’d usually go out of my way to watch.
There’s nothing less fun than seeing people of varying degrees of fame having fun and constantly telling us how much fun they’re having, especially when licence-paying viewers are the ones picking up the tab for their fun.
