Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has raised alarm over an alleged assault by security personnel at a Lagos nightclub named Hi Ibiza.

The 32-year-old took to his Instagram story on Saturday to call out the club, tagging its official page while accusing its security team of attempting to kill him and his entourage.

“@hiibizaofficial security just tried to kill me and my team!! Just watch. All y’all going down,” he wrote, sharing photos of uniformed security men surrounding what appeared to be a tense scene involving Davido and his crew.

Davido’s cousin, Tunji Adeleke, also confirmed the incident on X, formerly Twitter, saying he narrowly escaped being choked by a member of the security team.

“All because my brother Asa wanted to do a nice after-wedding celebration with friends and family? @hiibizaofficial security almost just k*lled me! Almost choked me to death. My life flashed before my eyes!!! Closest I’ve been!!! God!!!” Tunji wrote.

Davido and members of his 30BG crew, including nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest, have been in Ibiza for the past few days for the wedding finale of the singer’s long-time manager, Asa Asika.

According to online reports, the clash occurred at the popular Hï Ibiza nightclub during an after-party celebration following the wedding event.

Although Davido did not provide details of what triggered the altercation, social media footage and photos showed what appeared to be a physical confrontation between the club’s security and members of the singer’s entourage.

This incident comes just weeks after the “Unavailable” singer was involved in a tense moment at a mall in Nigeria, where an overexcited fan clung tightly to his leg, almost causing him to fall. Davido had taken his first daughter, Imade, and her friend out on a leisure trip when the event occurred. Security personnel swiftly intervened to handle the situation.

As of the time of this report, Hï Ibiza is yet to issue a statement in response to the allegations.
