Jaipur: Expressing concern over the rising number of stray dog attacks across the state, Rajasthan HC Monday took suo motu cognisance of the issue and asked the state govt, Jaipur Municipal Corporations, and local self-govt dept to submit a report outlining concrete, time-bound measures to address the issue.
The court granted them four weeks to respond to the notice. The bench of Justice MM Shrivastava and Justice Manish Sharma also recognised the growing disagreement between people who care for stray animals and those who believe stricter action is needed to protect the public. It urged for a balanced approach that respects animal rights while ensuring the safety of citizens. tnn
