Hanna Cavinder Breaks Silence on Reason She Dumped Carson Beck

Published 1 month ago2 minute read

The discourse around former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has been all over the place this offseason.

It ranged from how much his NFL draft stock has taken a hit to how much money he was paid to transfer to Miami. However, arguably the most popular talking point about Beck pertains to his dating life, as it was believed to have impacted his decision to transfer.

Although Beck saw a decline in his performance this past season, throwing twice as many interceptions (12) as he did in 2023, had he been on the open market in the transfer portal, major programs would have been lined up. Ultimately, Beck entered with a "do-not-contact" tag, which typically means a player knows exactly where they are going.

Seemingly, everyone around the sport assumed he'd end up in Coral Gables, where his then-girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, played basketball. The prediction came to fruition fairly quickly as he transferred to Miami shortly after his name hit the portal, but he and Cavinder didn't turn into a power couple by any means.

The two broke up after he had been in Miami for just a couple of months, with rumors surfacing that he had cheated on her. A claim that Cavinder denied in a vlog posted by Kai Trump that has since gone viral on social media.

After initially expressing that Beck was constantly on his phone while on a trip, Trump asked Cavinder if he had been talking to his friends. She didn't hold back with her response either, saying, "Nobody likes him."

She then dove into the cheating allegations, saying that wasn't the reason for the split.

"And then I broke up with him and all of these cheating (expletive) came out," Cavinder said. "I had no idea. I didn't break up with him because he was cheating. I broke up with him because of like who he was."

As for Beck, he has yet to comment on the matter publicly, and is in the process of working his way back from an elbow injury he suffered against Texas in the SEC Championship Game.
