H.S. ROUNDUP: Martha's Vineyard boys and girls tennis teams headed to Final Four - Yahoo Sports
There were nine teams in state tournament action on the nicest day, weather wise, on Cape.
Three tennis teams are headed to the state semifinals, while three lacrosse teams punched their ticket to the Round of 8.

: The Navigators (11-2) upset the Sharks (17-4) in a competitive match to advance to the Final Four.
Ray Zhang beat Roman Pavluchenko in first singles (1-6, 6-4, 6-1), Robert Muhov defeated Zach Shields in third singles (4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4)), and Mason and Caleb Smith won second doubles (7-6, (7-4), 4-6, 6-1) over Ethan Seufert and Tom Hereford for Sturgis West.
Ryan Casey beat Francisco Garcia Raya in second singles (6-1, 6-0), while Blake Noonan and Nick Hadden defeated George Foster and Kieran Murphy in first doubles (4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4)) for Monomoy.

The Sharks swept No. 30 Barlett in the Round of 32, and No. 14 Bourne in the Round of 16.
: The Vineyarders (18-1) swept their third straight playoff opponent. They will advance to the semifinals for the fourth straight season, where they will face Cape opponent, No. 6 Sturgis West, for the first time this season.
: The Vineyarders (18-1) will join the boys team in the semifinals.
: The Lady Knights (15-5) are headed back to the Elite Eight for the fourth straight season. They will host No. 4 Weston in the Round of 8.

: The Warriors (12-7) season came to an end in the second round against the top seed in Div. 3. They beat No. 17 Archbishop Williams 17-15 in the Round of 32.
: The Whalers (14-5) beat the Blue Knights (9-11) in a rematch of last year's Div. 4 state finals. They will host No. 5 Ipswich in the Round of 8.
Cole Rodgers (two goals, one assists), Will Hughes (two goals), Kurt Moniz (one goal, one assist), Ben DiGiacomo (one goal), and Thomas Sutton (one goal) led the offense for Sandwich. Lincoln Shinn, Luke Rodgers Tate Baeker and Trevor Jollin also contributed on offense. Than Hunt had 10 saves in goal, while Jack OBrien and Jack Bateman had a solid defensive effort and clearing.

Sandwich beat No. 20 Rockland 13-3 in the Round of 32.
: The Warriors (16-4) are back in the Elite Eight for the third straight season. They will host No. 7 Nashoba Reg. on June 7 in the Round of 8.
Sawyer McCutchen (four goals, one assist), Logan Poulin (three goals, one assist), Joe Berardi (three goals, one assist), Jack Peno (two goals, one assist), Brendan Peno (one goal, two assists), Michael Flynn (two goals), Oscar Escher (one goal, one assist), Jake Eldredge (one goal, one assist), Jake Everson (one goal, one assist), Andrew Reeves (one goal), and Sam Mayhew (one goal) led the offense for Nauset. Zach Coleho played well, while the defense came up clutch late in the game.
