Ghanaian Musicians Diana Asamoah and Adom Kyei Duah Engage in Public Dispute

A public dispute has erupted between Prophet Adom Kyei Duah, the General Overseer of Believers Worship Center, and Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Asamoah. The confrontation, which has played out largely on social media, centers on accusations made by Asamoah regarding the prophet's ministry and conduct.

The feud was reportedly sparked by Diana Asamoah's criticism of Prophet Adom Kyei Duah. In viral videos, she accused him of transforming his church into a commercial enterprise, alleging that he was selling drinks and other items under the guise of religious ministry.

During a sermon delivered to his congregation on June 1, 2025, Prophet Adom Kyei Duah addressed these allegations directly. He expressed profound disappointment and issued what he termed a stern warning to the gospel singer, accusing her of attempting to tarnish his hard-earned reputation and questioning his spiritual calling. "This is the first time in my life that a woman has attacked me and insulted my personality," he stated. He continued with strong words, saying, "Over my dead body will she triumph over me. She wasn’t raised properly. I won’t be the one to warn her, Heaven will speak on my behalf, and everyone will bear witness to it." The prophet also challenged Asamoah's claims about her own divine mission, asserting, "You say God sent you? God also sent me. Let’s see who Heaven supports and to what degree." In a moment of apparent reflection during the sermon, Adom Kyei Duah also expressed regret over associating with certain television stations like Angel TV and Royal TV early in his ministry.

Diana Asamoah was quick to respond to Prophet Adom Kyei Duah's remarks, stating that she remained unfazed by what she characterized as "empty threats." She reiterated her criticism, targeting "those prophets who are not ashamed and not afraid of God to use his name to sell drinks and other items in church." Asserting her own faith, she declared, "So far as I am with God, there is nothing you can do that will work. You can continue using my pictures as obituary posters. I know I am not dead, and I am not dying anytime soon." She further challenged the prophet's spiritual authority, asking, "Heaven would speak for me. Can you tell us you are the second Christ? Because the second Christ we are waiting for is not you. You are a lair." Diana Asamoah went on to label Adom Kyei Duah as a "business-minded person and not a pastor," adding, "You can't threaten me. We are all in this country and we shall see. We all know you are a business-minded person and if you sell your products in the name of God people will buy them. Even God made them arrest you."

The tension between the prophet and the gospel artiste continues to escalate, generating significant discussion and attention online. Both public figures have remained steadfast in their respective positions, indicating that the public disagreement is far from resolved.
