In an official funeral announcement notice, the family shared that a funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at House of Grace Church, Nairobi West, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Additionally, family and friends gather daily at his residence at the NHC Courts in Lang’ata, Phase 3, from 5:00 pm for prayers and support.

His body will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, for his rural home in Ndori, Siaya County.

The final funeral and burial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, at Ramba High School, located less than a kilometre from the family home.

In the notice, the family remembered Oduor not only as a loyal protector to the former Prime Minister but also as a devoted husband, father, and member of his extended family.

“George, in God’s hands you peacefully rest, in our hearts we cherish you forever," the family wrote in the announcement.

Furthermore, the family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy and prayers.

They also urged those seeking to support the burial arrangements to send in their contributions can be sent via Mpesa PayBill 891300, Account Number 113470.

Interestingly, as relatives and loved ones were being listed in the announcement, no children were mentioned, a detail that has left many questioning whether Oduor had any children.

Oduor passed away on Wednesday, April 2, at Nairobi West Hospital, after being admitted for two weeks.

He had served faithfully alongside Raila Odinga, often seen at his side during political functions and public events.
