While speaking from his bed at the Karen Hospital on Saturday, June 7, Koimburi refuted the claims made by the National Police Service that his abduction was staged.
The MP recounted his ordeal, stating that his experience was one that he will never forget.
He added that while on his way from the Full Gospel Church, where he had attended a service, he met with thugs who blindfolded him and made him sniff an unknown drug before bundling him into a vehicle.
"It was on May 25 when I met with thugs who blindfolded me and took me into custody. I then found myself at a coffee plantation the following day," Koimburi said.
Koimburi further recounted how a boda boda rider came to his rescue after he was dumped at a coffee plantation in Kibichoi area, a day after he was allegedly abducted.
"I met with a good Samaritan who was a boda boda rider. He notified my family who came and picked me. They then brought me to the hospital," he added.
Additionally, the MP condemned the criminal act against him, terming it a security crisis that has plagued the country at large.
He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported him during the two weeks that he was hospitalised, wishing them God's blessings.
"I am grateful to all those people who came to see me when I was undergoing the tough weeks of my life, which I will never forget. I want to express my gratitude as I pray that God may continue blessing you and do you good," he said.
The legislator wound up by asking Kenyans to keep praying for the nation. He called on the government to address the security issues as thugs carry out abductions.
Koimburi stated that he is living proof that people are being abducted in the country.
Previously, the authorities declared that Koimburi's alleged abduction was stage-managed with an intended political motive.

While addressing the press, Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja stated that Koimburi had spent time with his alleged abductors. Kanja added that the MP's motives were to give the police a bad image.
He further shared that Koimburi, who was to be apprehended on the day he went missing, orchestrated his abduction to keep himself from being abducted.
