Nigerian digital creator and tech influencer Izzi Boye is set to attend VivaTech 2025 in Paris this June as an official VivaTech Ambassador. Recognised in a creator and influencer capacity, Izzi is among the first African digital creators to receive this honour. This achievement underscores his growing influence in the global tech space. Known for his authentic storytelling and engaging tech content, Izzi continues to bridge African narratives with global innovation in powerful new ways.

With over 1.4 million combined followers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, Izzi has built a loyal global audience by making technology relatable, especially for young Africans. He is widely credited for introducing ASMR-style unboxing videos to the Nigerian digital space and has become a sought-after partner for leading global brands such as Google, Meta, YouTube, ASUS, Tecno, Zenith Bank, EcoFlow, and FXTM.

In 2024, Izzi delivered his first TEDx talk, marking a turning point in his career. “That moment validated the years I spent building a platform from scratch,” he shared. “I always believed you don’t have to leave Nigeria to tell a global story. If you stay consistent and intentional, your voice will travel far.”

Izzi’s success didn’t come without challenges. Like many content creators in Nigeria, he has had to navigate unreliable electricity, limited access to the latest tech, and fewer opportunities compared to international counterparts. Yet, his ability to innovate within these limitations has set him apart.

“My journey started with very little, no fancy gear or big sponsorships,” he said. “But I had a passion for tech and a desire to help people understand it in simple, creative ways. That’s what has carried me.”

His consistent presence at high-level events like the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Venice Film Festival, and now VivaTech 2025 reflects his rising status on the international stage. These platforms offer more than exposure. They are opportunities to reshape perceptions, connect with industry leaders, and inspire a new generation of African talent.

Izzi is also evolving. Recently, he launched @izzi_verse, a gaming and livestreaming arm of his brand on TikTok. This move reflects his broader vision to create immersive content that blends technology, entertainment, and community. It’s part of his strategy to remain relevant in a rapidly changing digital landscape while diversifying his influence.

“There’s a misconception that African creators are always playing catch-up,” Izzi noted. “In reality, we’re driving change, setting standards, and redefining the global narrative. I want to keep proving that Africa is not just participating, we’re leading.”

Looking ahead, Izzi’s goals are bold but clear. He aims to cross one million TikTok followers, scale his live streaming reach, and build lasting partnerships with brands and platforms that believe in his mission. Most importantly, he hopes his journey will inspire other creators to believe in their own potential, no matter where they start.

As he prepares to attend VivaTech 2025 in Paris, Izzi Boye stands as a testament to the power of passion, authenticity, and resilience. His story reflects a new era where African tech voices are no longer on the sidelines but are taking centre stage in shaping the future of innovation worldwide.
