The game between third ranked Strasbourg (15-7) and eighth ranked Nancy (14-9) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night.

Strasbourg was defeated by Nancy in a tough game in Nancy 65-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Strasbourg. Nancy forced 21 Strasbourg turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Marc-Owen Fodzo (180-2006) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Guard Iliam Fevry (188-2006) helped adding 11 points. Guard Maxence Lemoine (187-2007) responded with 32 points and 5 assists. Strasbourg's coach Patrice Koenig rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nancy have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 14-9 record. Strasbourg at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Nancy are looking forward to face La Rochelle (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Strasbourg will play against Limoges (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Cholet (17-6) against fourth ranked Le Mans (16-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Cholet was defeated by Le Mans in a tough game in Le Mans 98-102. It was an exceptional evening for guard Bastien Grasshoff (193-2007) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 assists. Hugo Nguyen accounted for 20 points and 7 assists. Le Mans' coach Jordan Bernard allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Soren Bracq (192-2007) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Cholet in the defeat. Le Mans have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Monaco. Cholet at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Le Mans will play against Paris (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cholet will play against Chalon/Saone (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
ProA U21 top team - Bourg (21-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked La Rochelle (4-19) 101-61. The best player for the winners was Anatole Humeau who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 assists and 5 steals (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Bourg's coach Arnaud Tessier felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thibault Desplace produced 12 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Bourg have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 21-2 record. La Rochelle lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Bourg will meet Dijon (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. La Rochelle will play against Nancy (#8) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 23: Gravelines lost to Paris on the opponent's court 75-77. Bottom-ranked St-Quentin was outscored by Dijon in a home game 65-87. Monaco managed to beat Le Portel on the road 88-87. Nanterre crushed Limoges on its own court 112-58. Chalon/Saone was beaten by ASVEL in Villeurbanne 86-77.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points and 5 rebounds by Gabin Lefort of Cholet.
