Tom Cruise Shows Support For 'Sinners' Congratulating Ryan Coogler & Michael B. Jordan: "Must See In A Cinema"
Tom Cruise is showing his support for Ryan Coogler‘s Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan, and bought himself a ticket to watch the film in theaters.
In a social media post, Cruise shared a photo of himself posing in front of the key art for the film, holding a ticket in his hand.
“Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and to the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!” Cruise shared on Instagram.
Sinners have captivated audiences and have made the horror film into a box office hit. The film overperformed during its opening weekend, grossing $48M domestically and $63M globally. The film also made history as the second-best Monday for an R-rated horror film at the box office, earning $7.8M after 2017’s It, which did $8.76M.
In its second weekend, Sinners grossed $45M, off only 6% from the previous week.
Jordan, who plays criminal twins Smoke and Stack in the film, replied to Cruise, saying, “Thanks for the love and support.”
Insecure alum Yvonne Orji also replied to Cruise’s pos,t adding, “Game recognize game.”
Following the box office success, Jordan took to social media to express his gratitude for everyone that has supported the film.
“Words can’t express the gratitude that I feel for everyone and the outpour of love for our film!! it’s a crazy feeling to know how many of you have showed up and continue to support this film,” Jordan posted on Instagram. “This is why we make movies and love watching movies on the big screen. It brings people together!!”
