Four University of Redlands Women's Basketball players named CSC Academic All-District - D3hoops
AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 Women's Basketball Academic All-District members and earning the distinction for the University of Redlands women's basketball team are Leila Hosn, Leaya McKinney, Kayden Sanders, and Colbi Zorich.
Hosn is a first time selection. She is a biology major and a chemistry minor. She plans to attend dental school after her time at Redlands. She finished third on the team in scoring at 10.7 points per game and led the team with 140 assists, the second most in single-season program history.
McKinney is a recipient for the second-straight season. She will graduate this spring with a degree in business administration and a minor in accounting. She averaged 3.5 points and 3.4 rebounds while playing in a career-high 24 games.
This is the first selection for Sanders. She is undecided on her major and postgraduate plans. She played in 25 games during her sophomore season, averaging 2.4 points.
Zorich is the third first timer. She is a psychology and liberal studies major. She finished second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding with 12.8 points and 5.5 rebounds. She set the eighth highest single-season free throw percentage mark at 83.8 percent (88-for-105).
