First Trade: Nifty slumps to 24,500 levels, ONGC only gainer from bluechip index
Indian equities in Friday's trade (June 13, 2025) traded on a sluggish note amid weak global cues as Iran- Israel conflict worsened. This is, however, as the domestic retail inflation, has slumped to a 6-year low in May, while oil prices surged sharply on the back of this ongoing rift between the two nations.
At the open, Nifty slumped to 24,508 levels, down 1.4 per cent, while the Sensex crashed 1,093 points or 1.34 per cent to 80,599 levels. Meanwhile, the Bank Nifty index also cracked by as much as 900 points or 1.61 per cent at the open to 55,180.65 levels,
Furthermore, the crack in the broader markets space, deepened with the smallcap gauge down almost 1.7 per cent as at the last count.
From the Nifty50 basket, top gainers included stocks like ONGC, while laggards were Shriram Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries and SBI.
Amid broad-based sell-off, most indices traded with a cut of over 1 per cent, with Oil and Gas, PSU Bank, consumer durable gauges leading the losses, followed by auto, realty and IT among others.
Ugro Capital: The company's right Issue to will open today. As part of the rights issue, the company will issue 50 shares for 189 shares held.
Spicejet: The company's board meeting is scheduled for its March quarter results.

A number of companies, including the likes of Piramal Enterprises, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Canara Bank, ACC, Ambuja Cement: will turn ex-dividend. Also, another stock Vimta Labs will trade ex-bonus for 1:1 bonus issue.
Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi expects support for the Nifty50 index at 24,625-24,750 levels and a stronger support zone at 24,450-24,550 levels on Friday, June 13. For the Nifty Bank, the market wizard expects support at 55,550-55,750 levels and a strong buy zone at 55,250-55,450 levels.
The key MSCI Asia ex Japan index traded with a loss of over 1 per cent at 625.97. The losses are triggered amid escalating geo-political tensions between Israel and Iran.
