Bridgestone Americas Inc. has added a new size for the Firestone FS509, a steer tire for long-haul and regional-haul applications.

The tire is now available in size 11R22.5

It features 19/32nd tread depth with a tread pattern designed to resist irregular wear via protection at the shoulder ribs and to also promote a long tread life. Sipes in the tread are made to absorb stresses along the rib edge in another nod toward long, even wear. The tire's belt package offers sidewall protection for durability and retreadability, and the "fuel saver sidewall" is made from a compoud to help conserve fuel as both a new tire and when retreaded.
