Fatawu Issahaku links up with Callum Hudson-Odoi
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi were all smiles at the City Ground on Sunday, May 11, 2025, as the pair linked up following Nottingham Forest’s thrilling 2–2 draw with Leicester City.
While the match itself delivered plenty of Premier League drama, the post-match moment between the two players also stole headlines.
Fatawu, currently sidelined with a season-ending ACL injury, showed up to support the Foxes. However, after the game, Fatawu met with Hudson-Odoi for a brief chat.
The Ghanaian posted a photo of the two on Instagram with the caption: “Brother”, indicating their shared Ghanaian roots.
With Hudson-Odoi, yet to officially commit his international future, the link-up has added to the growing curiosity around a potential future with the Black Stars.
Though this latest meeting doesn't confirm any decision, it does come at a time when Ghanaian fans and the GFA continue to keep a close eye on Hudson-Odoi, who remains eligible to switch allegiance from England to Ghana.
The pair have experienced contrasting fortunes this season. While Fatawu faces the disappointment of relegation, Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of securing European football with Nottingham Forest.
