Erem set to redefine photography with Ethos Studios
In an inspiring twist of passion and purpose, Uchenna Erem, a first-class graduate of statistics, has made a commitment to redefine photography with her new studio, Ethos.
The aim is to carve a niche in kids’ and family photography.
Erem, who once dreamed of a career with the World Bank, made an unexpected pivot from crunching numbers to capturing moments. This evolution has since blossomed into a thriving photography enterprise.
Her academic excellence laid the foundation for discipline, but it was her artistic drive that led her to the world of visual storytelling.
Born into a family of six, Erem’s transition into photography began as a curiosity and quickly grew into a calling. To refine her talent, she trained under UK-based, globally celebrated photographer, Paulina Duczman, and honed her creative direction with mentorship from Nigerian photography veteran, Yemi King.
Today, she runs Ethos Studios, a boutique photography brand devoted to preserving the innocence, joy, and bonds within families.
Through each frame, Erem captures compelling stories that speak to emotion and heritage, a skill that continues to earn her accolades and respect in the industry.
Outside the lens, Erem shares her creative journey with her husband, comedian and animation curator, Ajebo, forming a dynamic artistic duo. Together, they embody a synergy of humour and heartfelt storytelling, inspiring many within Nigeria’s creative ecosystem.
With her meticulous attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and a deep love for storytelling, Erem is not just taking pictures; she’s shaping memories and changing the face of modern photography in Nigeria.
