Edward Kwach's Family Plans Fundraiser to Give Late Radio Legend Befitting Send-Off
“In memory of a legend! We celebrate Edward Carey Francis Kwach today and into forever. The Voice! The Man! The Legend! RIP Edward... Without You There is No Me!" Nick wrote, echoing the sentiments of many who considered Kwach a pioneer and mentor in Kenya’s radio scene.
The fundraising events are scheduled for Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
According to the poster, well-wishers who cannot attend in person can also send their contributions via Paybill number 8065131.
The events will not only raise funds but also provide a space for mourners and friends to share their tributes and cherished memories of the late broadcaster.
Edward Kwach passed away on the night of Monday, April 28, while receiving treatment for meningitis at Coptic Hospital in Nairobi.
His death came just weeks after fellow media personality Caroline Mutoko called upon Kenyans to support a blood donation drive for Kwach.
At the time, Mutoko disclosed that he was critically ill and required urgent blood transfusions to boost his haemoglobin and iron levels.
Tributes from fans, colleagues, and celebrities have continued to pour in, with many remembering Kwach as a brilliant communicator whose voice defined an era of radio in Kenya.

Maina described Kwach as one of the finest radio personalities in Kenya, recalling how his infectious energy and relentless passion left a lasting mark on everyone he worked with.
