Driver hospitalized after rollover crash in Montgomery County

A driver was taken to the hospital after a rollover crash in Montgomery County Wednesday night, a Clay Township police officer told News Center 7.

The crash occurred in the 6000 block of Sweet Potato Ridge Road around 9:15 p.m.

The officer said a deer jumped in front of the car, causing the driver to swerve quickly.
The car overturned after it traveled off the roadway, according to the officer.
Initial reports indicate the driver may have been trapped in the car, but authorities could not confirm.
News Center 7 crews said roads in this area were very slick when they arrived on scene.
It is unclear how serious the drivers’ injuries are.
